Manchester United has reportedly received approval from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team to pursue two summer transfer targets. In the latter part of 2023, it was confirmed that INEOS boss Ratcliffe had finalized a deal to acquire a 25% stake in the Old Trafford club. Reports suggest that Ratcliffe and his team will oversee the football operations, while the Glazers will lead the commercial aspects of the club.

As the summer transfer window approaches, reports indicate that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team have given their approval for Manchester United to pursue two players. According to 90 Min, the club is poised to target Crystal Palace’s French winger Michael Olise. Additionally, an experienced striker is said to be on the shortlist. As per the report, Ratcliffe and INEOS define an experienced striker as someone who has scored double figures in at least three seasons in a top-five league.

Olise is anticipated to be a viable option for Manchester United when the summer transfer window opens.

Regarding the striker position, the Red Devils have been associated with players such as Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart, Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna, and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. However, there is a reported reluctance on the part of United to bring in a striker with a profile similar to Rasmus Hojlund, who joined last summer in a deal valued at £72 million.

Despite a challenging beginning to his time in England, Danish international Hojlund is gradually adapting and displaying improved form in front of goal. Before Hojlund’s acquisition, there were reports of Manchester United expressing interest in Harry Kane, who ultimately moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga. United is set to return to Premier League action this weekend against Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
