Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti shared his delight after his team’s tense 5-4 aggregate triumph over Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey semi-final.
Despite the dramatic nature of the tie, Ancelotti seemed satisfied with his squad’s display and resilience in securing a spot in the final.
The experienced Italian highlighted that his players gave their all to achieve their goal of reaching the decisive stage of the competition.
“It has been entertaining, we have fulfilled the objective of being in the final, and there is not much time to think more. We have complied,” he stated.
The clash with Real Sociedad marked the team’s 50th game of the campaign, a testament to the demanding schedule his players have faced.
Still, Ancelotti appeared content with how his squad has handled the intense workload.
He praised both the newcomers who have stepped up throughout the season and those who have featured consistently from the start.
“I think we are doing quite well. Those who have come in have contributed. Those who have played from the first moment have held on, like Rodrygo and Bellingham.
“On a physical level, we finished well. Better than Real Sociedad.”
