In addition to Hojlund’s contribution, two goals from Alejandro Garnacho played a significant role in overturning a two-goal deficit for United in their previous league game against Villa late last year.

Expressing his admiration in his Sky Sports column, Merson commended Hojlund and recognized him as one of the emerging stars of the future based on his recent standout performances.

“I appreciate him. He’s a young talent at the age of 21, representing one of the largest clubs globally,” remarked Merson. “In football, if there’s one intangible quality you could encapsulate, it’s confidence.
