Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea has initiated contact with River Plate to monitor developments surrounding the 17-year-old midfielder.

Although the player currently has a €25 million release clause in his contract, it could potentially increase to €30 million in the final days of the transfer window.

Barcelona is also interested in securing his services, but their situation is more complicated due to financial constraints and the need to adhere to financial fair play regulations.

Widely regarded in Europe, the 17-year-old midfielder showcased his talent in the under-17 World Cup, drawing attention from Manchester City as well.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea can secure his services in the upcoming weeks.

As an attacking midfielder, the 17-year-old brings creativity, vision, and goal-scoring ability to the team. Given his age, he will require time to acclimate to English football before potentially becoming a regular starter for Chelsea.
