Juventus is reportedly targeting Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as a key addition to their attack during the January transfer window. The Italian club, currently struggling offensively, has identified the Dutch striker as a potential solution to their goal-scoring issues after netting only five goals in their last five matches.

Despite relying heavily on Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus sits sixth in Serie A and 19th in the Champions League standings, highlighting their need for reinforcements. With Arek Milik out due to injury, Zirkzee could offer much-needed competition and depth in attack.

Zirkzee joined Manchester United last summer under former manager Erik ten Hag but has struggled for both form and playing time, with Rasmus Hojlund favored as the starting striker. While Zirkzee had a standout season in Serie A previously—earning the league’s Young Player of the Year award for scoring 11 goals and providing five assists—he has yet to replicate that success in England. Juventus is optimistic that reuniting Zirkzee with Thiago Motta, his former coach at Bologna, could help him rediscover his best form.

In addition to Zirkzee, other United players, including Marcus Rashford, have attracted transfer interest, with PSG reportedly monitoring the English forward. Juventus’ pursuit of Zirkzee underscores their urgency to address their attacking deficiencies as they aim to climb the Serie A standings and improve their European campaign. Whether United will sanction Zirkzee’s departure remains uncertain.
