Several Barcelona players are reportedly unhappy with their roles under Hansi Flick, as they struggle with limited playing time and secondary positions. Among them, Eric Garcia appears most likely to leave. Still recovering from an injury, Garcia’s last match for Barcelona may have already passed without him realizing it. Initially a regular starter this season due to injuries in the squad, Garcia’s role diminished as key players like Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, and Andreas Christensen returned to fitness.
Barcelona kept Garcia over the summer, rejecting offers like Girona’s €10 million bid, largely due to a lack of defensive depth following the departures of Clément Lenglet and Mickaël Faye. However, his recent form has fallen short of expectations, and he no longer fits into Flick’s plans.
Recognizing his limited prospects, Garcia has reportedly requested Joan Laporta to entertain all offers, whether for a loan or permanent transfer. Several clubs are already interested, and with the January window approaching, a departure seems increasingly likely as Garcia seeks to revive his career with more consistent playing time elsewhere.
