expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Vitor Roque as he heads towards finally completing his move from Athletico Paranaense to Barcelona.
The young Brazilian forward has long been regarded as a highly promising talent, and we are now on the verge of witnessing his abilities in Europe.
As shared by Romano in a post on X (formerly Twitter), the player is seen at the airport en route to Barcelona. This comes as Roque is nearing an official announcement by Barcelona, following a previously reached agreement for the 18-year-old to join the Nou Camp this winter.
Roque appears to be a player who could inject new energy into Xavi’s somewhat out-of-form Barcelona squad, especially with the veteran Robert Lewandowski possibly in need of support up front.
While Joao Felix was brought in on loan during the summer, his consistency has been somewhat lacking. Therefore, it will be intriguing to observe the amount of playing time Roque receives and whether he can make an immediate impact in La Liga.
