Argentine international Lionel Messi, the playmaker for Inter Miami, shared his thoughts on Barcelona’s current performance under German manager Hansi Flick. Barcelona is currently at the top of the Spanish League standings with 34 points, following a disappointing 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo. They trail Real Madrid by 7 points, though Madrid has two postponed matches.

Messi, in statements reported by the “Football Spain” website, said: “My children are Catalan, and I spent my whole life there. The truth is, I feel like I am from Barcelona, and at any time, I could go and live there.”

The Argentine star added, “Barcelona looks amazing under Flick, which doesn’t surprise me. For me, it’s amazing that young players have had the opportunity over the past two years.” He continued, “When they are given the opportunity and confidence, they respond this way because they know the club better than anyone else. They’ve been accustomed to playing this way since they were young.”

Messi, the legend, further remarked: “The draw against Celta Vigo was shocking, especially with the team leading by two goals and just a few minutes remaining. I hope this draw doesn’t affect the outcome of the La Liga title in the end.”

When asked what advice he would give to Hansi Flick, Messi replied, “I want him to exclude the Dutch player from Barcelona permanently. He is a good player, but he lacks the spirit and motivation to wear the Barcelona shirt. The team management should sell him as soon as possible.”
