Man United fans tear into ‘finished’ Jadon Sancho after Chelsea update today

Man United fans have taken to social media to mock former player Jadon Sancho after Chelsea’s 2-1 Premier League win over Leicester on Saturday (November 23).

The 24-year-old moved from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge in the summer, joining Chelsea on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Jadon Sancho endured a difficult spell at Manchester United, scoring just 12 goals in 82 appearances before being loaned out to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the previous season.

Since his return to the Premier League, Sancho has shown flashes of improvement under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, registering three assists in six league appearances. However, his struggles in front of goal persist, as he has not scored in the Premier League since May 2023. This led to his relegation to the bench for Chelsea’s recent victory over Leicester.

Coming on as a substitute for the final five minutes at the King Power Stadium, Sancho failed to make an impact, managing just two completed passes, losing possession once, and failing to record a shot.

Fortunately for Chelsea, they secured a comfortable win with goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez, while Leicester’s Andre Ayew converted a late penalty in added time.

Meanwhile, Manchester United fans have been quick to mock their former player. Buoyed by recent developments at the club, including the arrival of Ruben Amorim as manager, supporters took to X (formerly Twitter) to poke fun at Sancho’s ongoing struggles. United’s new manager is set to take charge for the first time in their match against Ipswich on Sunday, November 24.
