Alexander Isak has addressed speculation surrounding his future at Newcastle United, putting to rest rumors of a potential departure. The Swedish striker, whose standout performances last season drew interest from top European clubs like Arsenal, clarified his commitment to Newcastle in an interview with *The Chronicle*.

Despite scoring an impressive 25 goals in 40 games last season, talks of a transfer failed to gain momentum over the summer and have since fizzled out. Reports of a “breakdown” between Isak and Newcastle have surfaced, but sources close to the club maintain that no urgent contract discussions are necessary, as his current deal runs until 2028.

Speaking about the ongoing rumors, Isak said, “Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on move rumors during the season. There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It does not affect me.” He added, “I am fully focused on my task at Newcastle, and I believe we have the potential for a fantastic season. I have no thoughts about anything else.”

Isak also addressed the speculation directly, saying, “A lot of information and rumors often come out, but much of what I read is not true. That is about all I can say about the whole thing.”

With five goals in 11 games this season, the 25-year-old remains a key player for Newcastle. While Arsenal reportedly still admires the forward, Newcastle would likely demand over £100 million for a transfer, a significant jump from the £63 million they paid Real Sociedad for him in 2022. For now, Isak appears fully focused on helping Newcastle achieve success this season, dismissing distractions about his future.
