The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester City may take an unexpected twist as Pep Guardiola is reportedly monitoring Brentford defender Sepp van den Berg. Van den Berg, who left Liverpool this summer after struggling to secure consistent playing time, has been impressing at Brentford. Despite the reported interest, a move to Manchester City would be surprising, given the circumstances of his recent departure and City’s depth in defense.
