Man City fans are convinced star is playing out of position and demand Pep Guardiola makes urgent change

Manchester City fans are convinced that Pep Guardiola is playing one of his key players out of position after their side’s fourth consecutive defeat.
Manchester City has hit an unusual low under Pep Guardiola, suffering four consecutive defeats for the first time since the Spaniard took charge. Their latest setback came in a 2-1 loss to Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
Injuries have plagued City recently, prompting Guardiola to remark—perhaps jokingly—in his pre-match press conference that he had a “terrible squad.” Nonetheless, he has had to reshuffle his lineup significantly, with Matheus Nunes playing on the left side of midfield and Kyle Walker moving into center-back alongside young Jahmai Simpson-Pusey.
City fans, however, are most concerned about Rico Lewis’s role, as he has been covering both full-back positions amid the injury crisis. Many fans believe he would be better utilized in midfield, pointing out his limitations as a defender.
One fan tweeted, “Rico Lewis is definitely not the answer to our right-back problems. He’s a good young player but should be moved to midfield.” Another added, “Rico Lewis is not a good defender. My word,” while a third asked, “In what world is Rico Lewis a defender?” Another remarked, “He’s great on the ball, but a lot of goals seem to come through his side.”
City initially led with Erling Haaland’s first-half goal and maintained their advantage until halftime. However, Brighton turned the tide in the second half, equalizing through Joao Pedro and sealing the comeback with Matt O’Riley’s goal in the 83rd minute. The win moves Brighton up to fourth, while City sit in second place, two points behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand before their evening clash with Aston Villa.
