He is not even ashame. This players are not meant to be here. How could he post that after costing us a win against Chelsea?”-Man Utd fans call out Joshua Zirkzee for ‘shameless’ social media post after Chelsea disastrous performance.

Manchester United fans criticized Joshua Zirkzee for a social media post following his brief appearance in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

In Ruud van Nistelrooy’s second match as interim manager, after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, United took the lead in the 70th minute with a Bruno Fernandes penalty, but Moises Caicedo quickly equalized for Chelsea just minutes later.

Van Nistelrooy made late substitutions, bringing Zirkzee on for Rasmus Hojlund in the 84th minute. Zirkzee, who has only scored once since his £36.5 million summer move from Bologna, had a chance shortly after coming on but failed to beat Wesley Fofana due to his lack of pace.

After the game, Zirkzee posted a photo of himself running toward goal, despite failing to convert his chance. Fans reacted strongly on social media, calling the post “shameless.”

One fan on X wrote, “No way Zirkzee actually had the audacity to post this. What a shameless move.” Another joked, “Bro thinks he runs faster—we all saw the game.” A third added, “This guy has no shame.”

Zirkzee has only managed one goal in 14 appearances across all competitions this season, and United currently sit in 13th place in the league.

Van Nistelrooy, who will manage United for two more games before Ruben Amorim takes over, praised the players’ effort. “Overall, it was a very good performance,” he said. “The players fought for every inch of the pitch. We created chances and could have scored another to win. It’s disappointing we couldn’t get the win, but the effort was there.”
