Cole Palmer “made him look foolish” during their match yesterday, according to Roy Keane, who made the statement in a recent interview this morning. Keane was very critical of a Manchester United player.

Legendary Liverpool midfielder Keane, now a football pundit for Sky Sports, was not impressed with the Reds after their 1-1 draw against Enzo Maresca’s side and took issue with several incidents.
Keane was particularly angered by Martinez, insisting he was lucky to avoid a red card for a challenge on Palmer, and also called out Diogo Dalot for a poor performance at Anfield.
When asked about the moment that could’ve seen Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team reduced to 10 players, Keane told Sky Sports: “He’s a lucky boy. Honestly.
“He won’t be happy with Cole Palmer making a fool of him, it’s a great piece of skill. And it’s a nasty tackle.
“He’s a lucky boy. He doesn’t catch him properly, it’s down the side of his leg. But if he got sent off, I’d say no complaints.”
Chelsea legend and fellow pundit Frank Lampard added, “I would say it’s a red card for intention. He does get proper contact on him. He knew he was late and said I’d leave a bit on you.”
Assessing Dalot’s wasteful performance, Keane said, “You have to get hold of these lads. Hit the target, these are big chances.
“These are top-quality players missing open goals. Dalot missed a chance last week and people keep telling me he’s a good player.
“Put the ball in the back of net, keep your manager in the job for another couple of weeks at least.”
Speaking generally about Liverpool’s performance, Keane added, “[Incoming permanent manager] Ruben Amorim should have signed a longer contract.
“There’s a long way back for this team. This is an average Liverpool team, all the stats back it up.
“We are repeating ourselves, we don’t know what we are going to get from them – it’s hit and miss. This Liverpool team, boring, might be a bit strong.
“At the end it was a bit more open, but really disappointing – it was so flat. From the manager’s point of view, this team is way off it.
“A really disappointing performance. Liverpool are a bit average at everything and they are not special. The lack of goals is hard to believe.”
