According to Fichajes, Manchester City is considering a move for Spanish talent Alex Baena.

The 22-year-old Villarreal midfielder has been a standout in La Liga this season, recording five goals and 13 assists across all competitions, making him one of Europe’s top playmakers. Primarily a number 10, Baena is versatile and can adapt to various attacking roles, catching the attention of several top clubs.

Manchester City is reportedly eyeing Baena as a potential successor to Kevin De Bruyne, who has faced recent injuries and is nearing the latter stages of his career. Arsenal is also keeping tabs on the young Spanish star.

Transfermarkt currently values Baena at 25 million euros, but with his contract running until 2028, Villarreal is expected to demand a higher transfer fee to let him go.
