Real Madrid
Real Madrid ‘planning to sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate from Al Nassr’ in January A former Premier League star who now plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo is a target for Real Madrid in the next transfer window.

Real Madrid is seeking defensive reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window, with recent reports indicating interest in a center-back who plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
The Spanish club had a remarkable season last year, clinching an impressive treble, which included their 36th La Liga title and a record 15th Champions League trophy. However, for Carlo Ancelotti to replicate that success this season, he may need to bolster his squad.
The defense has been weakened by the summer departures of Nacho Fernández and Rafa Marín, leaving Ancelotti with only Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao as his main center-backs. The player under consideration is Aymeric Laporte, currently playing in the Saudi Pro League with Al Nassr. While he is enjoying his time alongside stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane, a return to Spain may be possible.
According to Diario AS (via Fichajes), Laporte is viewed as a fitting addition to Madrid’s defense, and discussions for a transfer could take place between the two clubs in January. This speculation is supported by El Chiringuito’s José Álvarez Haya, who noted that Real Madrid might face competition from Atletico Madrid and PSG for Laporte.
The Paris club has shown interest in the 30-year-old since summer, with manager Luis Enrique eager to reunite with Laporte after their time together on the Spanish national team.
MARCA’s José Félix Díaz reported that Laporte is keen on returning to Europe if the chance arises, with a preference for moving back to Spain. He developed at Athletic Bilbao before transferring to Manchester City in 2018, and despite his recent move to the Saudi league last summer, he appears open to returning to a higher competitive level.
In the meantime, Ancelotti may give playing time to one of the club’s academy talents as he navigates injuries affecting the squad, including veteran full-back Dani Carvajal.
