🔥🏟️Unbelievable’: Jurgen Klopp kept secret from Liverpool for over two years

There has been significant change at Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp resigned as manager following the 2023-24 season.

Although the German’s contract was set to run until the end of the 2025-26 season, he chose to leave the club two years early, citing exhaustion as a key factor in his decision.

Liverpool appointed Arne Slot as Klopp’s replacement and implemented major changes within their leadership, bringing back Micheal Edwards as FSG’s Director of Football and hiring Richard Hughes as Sporting Director.

While Klopp initially expressed a desire to take a year off, he made headlines recently by being announced as Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer.

Reports from Germany suggest he reached an agreement with the Austrian company while still managing Liverpool.

According to the German outlet TZ, Klopp informally agreed to join the Red Bull organization back in 2022 after a private meeting with Dietrich Mateschitz, the company’s co-founder who passed away shortly after.

The report indicates that Klopp and select members of the Red Bull leadership were aware of this arrangement two years prior, and it includes a comment from Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s chief motorsport advisor, who remarked on how surprising it is that such a major deal remained confidential for so long.

Klopp has a clause in his contract with Red Bull that permits him to take charge of the German national team in the future if they move on from Julian Nagelsmann.

There has been speculation about Klopp managing the national team for years, but given Germany’s current success under Nagelsmann and Klopp’s new commitment, it seems unlikely to occur soon.

However, it is clear that Klopp’s managerial career in club football is over—at least until a potential opportunity arises with Germany.
