Cristiano Ronaldo has reignited friction with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag by offering sharp advice on the club’s rebuilding efforts. Recently, Ronaldo criticized Ten Hag’s comments suggesting United were still “a long way” from winning the Premier League or Champions League, arguing that such a stance sends a negative message. Ronaldo advocates for the club to aim for top honors every season, despite any current limitations.

Ronaldo also highlighted the importance of heeding the guidance of Ruud van Nistelrooy, the new assistant manager at United, who could be instrumental in the team’s resurgence. Ronaldo believes Van Nistelrooy’s strong connection with the club and his understanding of its culture make him an essential advisor for Ten Hag. Additionally, Ronaldo suggested that other United legends like Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, and Gary Neville should have a more significant role in shaping the club’s future.

In his critique, Ronaldo emphasized the necessity of a complete overhaul of Manchester United, starting from scratch. He pointed out that achieving success would require more than just skilled players; it would necessitate a cohesive effort involving all parts of the organization, from management to coaching staff. He remains optimistic that with the right adjustments, United can regain its position as one of the top clubs in the game.
