VIDEO: Van Dijk and André Onana had to be pulled apart by other players following a confrontation—Liverpool seems to have a player showing a lack of respect.

Footage has emerged of Virgil van Dijk and André Onana being involved in a confrontation during Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester United.
Liverpool controlled the match at Old Trafford, with Luis Diaz scoring twice and Mo Salah adding his 15th goal against United.
Following consecutive losses to Brighton and Liverpool, Erik ten Hag’s team has fallen to 14th place in the league, having earned just three points from their first three matches.
The match was frustrating for United, marked by two crucial turnovers from Casemiro that resulted in goals, as well as Marcus Rashford’s decision to pass backward rather than taking a chance.
Additionally, there was a subtle interaction between Van Dijk and Onana that might have slipped past some viewers. During corners, Liverpool’s captain positioned himself near Onana, while Diogo Dalot made efforts to keep him at bay.
In response, Onana threw a strong elbow into Van Dijk’s stomach. Although Van Dijk had reason to be annoyed, he responded in a lighthearted manner, pretending to be hurt as he mocked Onana.
The two players exchanged words, but Van Dijk kept a wide smile on his face, even as Liverpool celebrated their latest victory under Arne Slot.
Van Dijk also had a tense moment with United’s Lisandro Martinez. Shortly after Liverpool’s first goal, Martinez, frustrated, made a reckless tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai, receiving a yellow card while Szoboszlai remained on the ground.
Van Dijk then confronted Martinez, even as referee Anthony Taylor tried to defuse the situation. Van Dijk appeared to challenge Martinez by saying, “Come try that with me.”
