**Liverpool Eyeing Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber Amid Concerns Over Current Midfield Options**

Liverpool have been impressing under the management of Arne Slot, winning both of their Premier League matches so far with a stylish brand of football. The Reds have comfortably dispatched Ipswich Town and Brentford to begin the 2024/25 season, scoring four goals without conceding any.

However, reports suggest that Slot remains unconvinced by midfielders Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones, leading to speculation that he may pursue a late transfer for a new central midfielder before the window closes on Friday, August 30th.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are considering a move for Quinten Timber, who excelled under Slot at Feyenoord last season. The 23-year-old midfielder contributed eight goals and ten assists in the 2023/24 campaign and has made a total of 74 appearances under Slot, with 11 goals and 13 assists to his name.

Timber, the brother of Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber, could be available for a reasonable fee as he enters the final 24 months of his contract with Feyenoord. Known for his pace—he has even been clocked running faster than Kyle Walker—Timber’s speed and ability to contribute both offensively and defensively make him an attractive option for Slot’s high-energy system.

With Liverpool potentially looking to strengthen their midfield, keep an eye on developments as the transfer window nears its close.
