After My Disallowed Goal I Had Time To Reflect And It’s Just Matter Of Time God Has Something Planned For Me, I Just Have To Trust The Process,” Manchester United Star Garnacho Shares His Thought After United Defeat “I Am Way Better That Him Start Me And You Won’t Regret”.

After Alejandro Garnacho’s disallowed goal in Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, the young winger took to social media to share his feelings. During the August 24 match at the Amex Stadium, United fell behind in the 32nd minute when Kaoru Mitoma set up Danny Welbeck for the opening goal. United equalized in the 60th minute with Amad Diallo scoring from a Noussair Mazraoui assist.
Garnacho was introduced as a substitute for Marcus Rashford in the 65th minute and scored what appeared to be the go-ahead goal in the 72nd minute. However, VAR disallowed the goal due to Joshua Zirkzee being offside in the build-up. Brighton clinched the victory with João Pedro’s goal in the 95th minute.
After the game, Garnacho posted a photo from the match on Instagram with the caption, “God has something planned for me, trust the process,” and expressed gratitude to the fans, saying, “Thank you United fans for always supporting us.”
The defeat left Manchester United in 11th place in the Premier League, with three points from two games.
Ahead of the match, United manager Erik ten Hag discussed Garnacho’s potential, acknowledging his talent but emphasizing the importance of hard work in reaching elite status. Ten Hag praised Garnacho for proving his value last season but noted that there is still a long way to go.
Garnacho, who made his senior debut in 2022, had an impactful season last year with 50 appearances, contributing 10 goals and five assists. He has started this season with one assist in two league matches.
United’s next Premier League match is against Liverpool at Old Trafford on September 1.
