He’s Just Got To Take That Into The Game. We All Know He’s Got Talent In Abundance And We Want To See Him Smiling Again.” He Was On Fire’… Man Utd Legend Says Man Utd Star Left Him Blown Away With Training Performances.

Manchester United has been focusing on revitalizing the performance of their star players, with particular attention on Marcus Rashford. Rashford began to meet these expectations during the pre-season, notably delivering his best performance in the 3-2 victory over Real Betis. He played for more than an hour before exiting due to a late tackle but appeared in good spirits after the game. For Erik ten Hag, getting Rashford back to his peak form is a top priority, and scoring goals, even from penalties, could significantly boost his confidence.

Rashford’s Confidence and Form

Rashford has faced criticism in previous seasons for his body language, often seeming to lack confidence or determination. United expert Andy Mitten noted earlier this week that there have been positive reports about Rashford’s pre-season performances, something that hasn’t been heard since 2022. MUTV pundit Danny Webber provided a first-hand account of Rashford’s impressive form during a training session on the USA tour.

Webber remarked, “He was on fire yesterday. Watching his finishing, we couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly he strikes the ball, with minimal backlift. His one-on-one situations were outstanding, easily beating opponents. This comes from a strong mentality, a desire to succeed, and a willingness to make mistakes, which ultimately leads to success. He just needs to carry that into the games. We all know he has immense talent, and we want to see him smiling again.”

Praise from Teammates

Harry Amass, a 17-year-old who played alongside Rashford against Real Betis, described him as ‘unbelievable’ in a post-game interview. Amass, who is looking to step in for Luke Shaw this season amid uncertainties surrounding Tyrell Malacia, relished the chance to play with Rashford. However, with Rashford potentially being rested as a precaution ahead of the Liverpool game, Amass might have the opportunity to link up with a different player on the left side.
