Liverpool former star has joined Tottenham. We should have brought him back

Tottenham will need to be creative in their strategy if they aim to acquire Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke. The Cherries are firm that the 26-year-old will only depart Vitality Stadium this summer if his £65 million release clause is met, a clause reportedly activated only by specific clubs.
It’s improbable that Tottenham will be willing to set a new club record with such a substantial financial commitment. However, if they are determined to secure Solanke, they might explore a creative solution, such as incorporating players in a potential swap deal to approximate the high fee.
Solanke, an England international, scored 19 Premier League goals last season and has also drawn interest from his former club Chelsea. Bournemouth, managed by Andoni Iraola, have been aware that Solanke’s standout performance, with 21 goals in all competitions, would attract interest from other clubs.
Adding to the complexity, Liverpool is entitled to receive a 20% cut of any profit Bournemouth makes from a future transfer of Solanke, which could further complicate Tottenham’s pursuit.
Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou acknowledged earlier this week that the club is prioritizing the acquisition of a new striker, highlighting the urgency in their transfer strategy.
