Manchester United fans receive a significant lift as long-awaited injured players prepare to resume training, bolstering the team’s efforts to contend for the league title amidst their imminent exit from the Champions League. An injury update on Tyrell Malacia includes a statement from Manchester United regarding a potential return date.

Manchester United has confirmed that Tyrell Malacia had to undergo a second operation as part of his injury rehabilitation. The left-back has been absent for the entirety of the season due to a knee operation, contributing to the club’s significant injury woes.
Malacia’s name adds to the list of unavailable players for manager Erik ten Hag, highlighting the extensive injury crisis faced by the club this campaign.
Following his initial knee operation, Manchester United has confirmed that Tyrell Malacia experienced a setback in his rehabilitation, leading to a necessity for a second operation. Consequently, his return to action is now expected early in 2024.
An official club statement expressed that the Dutch left-back, who underwent surgery during the summer, remains on track for a comeback next year after being sidelined for the entire season so far.
Regrettably, he encountered a setback in his recovery, necessitating additional surgery. “This procedure has been carried out successfully, and Malacia is currently back at Carrington, putting in diligent efforts to regain fitness early in the upcoming year.”
United also anticipates Lisandro Martínez not being available until 2024. However, Luke Shaw has recently returned from injury and is ready to start for United once again, with Sergio Reguilón serving as another viable option.
