Marcus Rashford injury update after Barcelona’s defeat to Sevilla
An insight into the wellbeing of Barcelona star Marcus Rashford has late on Sunday come to the fore online.
This comes after the Englishman set alarm bells sounding late in his side’s meeting with Sevilla.
Barcelona are of course fresh off something of an outing to forget this evening.
After making the trip to Andalusia for the club’s final outing before the international break, Hansi Flick’s troops found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 4-1 result.
The aforementioned Marcus Rashford featured from the off in the fixture, and continued his fine spell of individual form with Barca’s only goal of the day.
Following the full-time whistle, however, the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital sparked widespread concern.
This came upon Rashford going to ground in evident discomfort.
The on-loan Manchester United man was subsequently seen to by the Blaugrana medical staff, before limping from the field of play.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, though, then the Barcelona faithful need not fret.
As per a report from club insider Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport:
‘Barça sources assure that Marcus Rashford’s issue is just a knock. Although he ended the match lying on the field, it doesn’t seem to be anything serious.’
