Mohamed Salah is poised to be part of Liverpool’s lineup for their FA Cup showdown against Manchester United on Sunday, building on his impressive showing in Thursday’s 6-1 triumph over Sparta Prague. The Egyptian attacker, who netted a goal and delivered three assists during the game, made a notable comeback to the starting eleven following his absence since Liverpool’s victory against Newcastle on New Year’s Day. Manager Jurgen Klopp has affirmed Salah’s preparedness for the forthcoming match at Old Trafford, underscoring his crucial contribution to the team.

However, Klopp voiced apprehension regarding the fitness of Ibrahima Konate, who was absent from training on the day of the press conference. Klopp indicated that Konate’s participation in the match remains uncertain, expressing, “A tight, tight race that we will probably lose.” Additionally, Klopp offered updates on the fitness of other players, noting Bobby Clark’s swelling and Ryan Gravenberch’s availability following training.

Looking ahead, Klopp laid out a plan for the return of several pivotal players after the forthcoming break. Curtis Jones is anticipated to make his return first, with Diogo Jota and Trent Alexander-Arnold following suit in the subsequent weeks.

Klopp also touched upon Stefan Bajcetic’s situation, underlining the importance of ensuring the young defender’s readiness before reintegrating him into the squad. He expressed concerns about Bajcetic’s ability to handle the intensity of matches.
