Manchester United is contemplating the prospect of parting ways with Mason Greenwood following his loan stint at Getafe in La Liga. There are reports indicating that Greenwood may not be included in United’s pre-season tour of the United States, signaling a potential departure from the club.
Despite initial talks about reintegrating the striker, especially with Sir Jim Ratcliffe expressing interest, United appears hesitant to pursue that path. Concerns have emerged within the club regarding Greenwood’s potential impact on team dynamics and commercial interests.
Greenwood has been absent from United’s lineup since January 2022 when he faced legal charges, including attempted rape and assault. Although all charges were dropped in February 2023, United conducted an internal investigation and decided to loan Greenwood out to Getafe.
During his stint in Spain, Greenwood has showcased impressive performance, recording eight goals and five assists in 26 matches. However, United’s choice to exclude him from the pre-season tour suggests a reluctance to fully reintegrate him into the squad permanently.
Former club legend Sir Alex Ferguson had once touted Greenwood as a future star, commending his composure and goal-scoring abilities. Despite his promising talent, Greenwood’s off-field issues have raised uncertainties about his future at Old Trafford.
The determination of Greenwood’s future at the club will significantly involve INEOS, United’s new part-owner. While the option of another loan remains on the table, a permanent transfer appears more probable. Clubs such as Getafe, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid have expressed interest in acquiring Greenwood, who remains resolute in realizing his potential wherever he plays in the upcoming season.

Manchester United are wrong for the way they have treated Greenwood
From the start Richard Arnold was so idiotic. How could United be so ignorant in hiring him. Then letting the women’s team have influence is by far so ridiculous . GREENWOOD is so right not wishing to play for United ever, after the disrespect and ignorance shown too him. Trust me he will go on and become a grest player and United will regret their behavior towards him.

Greenwood is not the fast in such s candals , Giggs also rapped his brother s wife but we reserved him but look at Woods age, And thise scandals are so common with that age nothing new but Utd took it too far as if he is not from our accademy
Utd management you should also acknowledge the way yo handling business stop bullshit
Change everything pitch and off pitch, This club is for fans not you business men who are come en go coz us fans are here for life not like you who have come as parasites
