This potential Mac Allister–Güler swap deal is definitely stirring up some drama — and Jermaine Pennant didn’t hold back!

Calling Real Madrid “annoying” for always sniffing around Liverpool players pretty much sums up what a lot of Reds fans might be thinking. From Xabi Alonso to Michael Owen to more recent links — Madrid do have a history of luring Anfield favorites.

Mac Allister, though, is central to Klopp’s midfield rebuild. He’s intelligent, composed, and brings that classic blend of grit and finesse.

Pennant’s right — he might not be flashy with long balls like Alonso, but he’s low-key essential. Losing him, especially now when Liverpool’s back in a title race groove, would be a blow.

As for Arda Güler — no doubt, the kid’s talented and has potential. But he’s still unproven at the level Mac Allister consistently performs. Swapping a midfield engine for a promising but raw attacker doesn’t feel like an even trade, especially for a club chasing silverware every season.

If anything, this feels more like a rumor than a real option — but it does highlight how valuable Mac Allister’s become in such a short time at Liverpool.
