The Germany star sh,ocks everyone and ignores Bayern Munich’s offer to join Barcelona

Jonathan Tah, the 29-year-old German center-back currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen, is reportedly set to join FC Barcelona on a free transfer at the end of this season. Despite interest from other top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Tah has shown a strong preference to wear the Blaugrana jersey.
Tah’s contract with Leverkusen is set to expire in June 2025, making him a free agent. This fits well with Barcelona’s current financial plans, as acquiring a player of Tah’s quality without a transfer fee is beneficial. The club’s sporting director, Deco, has been pursuing this move, considering Tah a key addition to strengthen Barcelona’s defense.
Although Tah’s arrival would reinforce the squad, it could also lead to the departure of some of Barcelona’s current central defenders. Reports suggest that the club may look to offload at least two of their existing center-backs to make space for Tah and effectively manage the squad.
Currently, all signs point to Jonathan Tah being Barcelona’s first signing for the 2025-26 season, unless there are unexpected changes.
