A Liverpool star has publicly expressed his desire to leave the club this January following the draw against Nottingham Forest.

Uncertainty Clouds the Futures of Multiple Liverpool Players
While Liverpool has delivered strong performances on the pitch this season, several important players are uncertain about their futures at Anfield. Negotiations over new contracts with Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold have stalled, with all three entering the final six months of their current deals, potentially leading to free agency.
Beyond this trio, Harvey Elliott has attracted interest from clubs such as Brighton and Borussia Dortmund, raising questions about his long-term future at Liverpool.
Midfielder Tyler Morton has also suggested the possibility of leaving to pursue more first-team opportunities. Although part of Liverpool’s first-team squad this season, Morton has not yet played in a Premier League match under manager Arne Slot. In an interview with LFCTV, he said, “This is a big month for me. It’s decision time, and I think I’m ready to take the next step, whether that’s here or elsewhere. Football’s football, and I have to be selfish and do what’s best for my career.”
Given the depth in Liverpool’s midfield and Slot’s preference for other players, Morton’s chances of earning a regular starting spot appear minimal. A loan or permanent transfer could be essential for him to secure more playing time and advance in his career.
Compounding the situation for Liverpool, Luis Díaz has reportedly turned down a new contract, further heightening concerns about the futures of multiple players as the club faces key decisions in the upcoming months.
