Anfield is gearing up for the highly anticipated return of Fernando Torres, who is scheduled to play for Liverpool FC Legends against AFC Ajax Legends in the upcoming LFC Foundation charity match next month. The event, presented by AXA, the club’s official training partner, promises an exciting reunion with the former Liverpool striker.

El Niño, as Fernando Torres is affectionately known, etched his name into Liverpool’s history books during his illustrious tenure at Anfield. In his three-and-a-half years with the club, from his arrival in 2007 from Atletico Madrid, Torres made a lasting impact, scoring an impressive 81 goals in 142 appearances. Now, he is set to return to Anfield, wearing the iconic red jersey once again, this time in support of the LFC Foundation.

This occasion will see Fernando Torres make his debut for LFC Legends, giving fans the opportunity to witness his return to Anfield. The last time Torres graced the iconic stadium was during an all-star charity match in 2015.

Renowned for his incredible debut season, where he netted 33 times, the 39-year-old striker became a modern-day hero and endeared himself to the Liverpool faithful. On Saturday, March 23, supporters will eagerly anticipate Torres’s return to action as LFC Legends face off against their Ajax counterparts at L4.
