(Video) World-class: Alisson pulls off wonder save to keep Liverpool level at Girona
Alisson Becker made his first start for Liverpool since early October and has been heavily involved during the first half against Girona.
The score remains 0-0 thanks to several crucial saves from our No. 1 goalkeeper.
Early on, the former AS Roma keeper stopped Miguel Gutierrez’s effort within the first 17 minutes, and then made a full-stretch save to deny Girona’s record signing, Yaser Asprilla, from scoring from outside the box.
While Caoimhin Kelleher did an excellent job filling in for the 32-year-old, the first half in Catalonia has highlighted just how important Alisson is to the team.
The Brazilian will be eager to maintain a clean sheet in his return, while his teammates at the attacking end need to improve if we are to secure all three points and return to Merseyside with
a win.
