Manchester United fans have been reacting on social media after watching the Red Devils’ match against Burnley.

On Saturday afternoon, United welcomed newly-promoted Burnley to Old Trafford for a Premier League clash.

All eyes have been on Amorim and his men after their dismal showing against Grimsby Town in midweek.

The League Two outfit won 12-11 via a tense penalty shootout to seal their place in the third round of the Carabao Cup, sending United packing.

At home against Burnley, United took the lead through an own goal by Josh Cullen before Burnley scored in the 55th minute through Lyle Foster.

Just minutes after Burnley equalised, Bryan Mbeumo made it 2-1 but Jaidon Anthony scored to level the match with 66 minutes on the clock.

The Red Devils pushed for the winning goal but were up against a stubborn Burnley defence.

Deep into stoppage time, United were awarded a penalty after Anthony pulled Amad Diallo’s shirt inside the 18-yard box, captain Bruno Fernandes stepped up to seal a vita 3-2 victory.

Reacting on social media, United fans are adamant that goalkeeper Altay Bayindir could end up costing Amorim his job despite their late win over Burnley.

Many felt that the Turkish goalkeeper should have done better for Burnley’s second goal.

One fan said: “Another baffling Bayindir mess. This will be remembered as Amorim’s fault though.”

Another tweeted: “Bayindir should’ve done better. If Manchester United don’t sign a good goalkeeper, Amorim is doomed.”

A third fan added: “Bayindir needs to be released.”

Someone else wrote: “Bayindir needs a shot stopping and cross claiming coach.”

A fifth commented: “Bayindir is still trying to save a shot that’s already well into the goal.”
