Liverpool NewsLiverpool handed huge Alexander Isak transfer boost as Newcastle ‘open talks’ for replacement…

Liverpool has received a significant boost regarding the transfer of Alexander Isak as Newcastle reportedly begins discussions for a replacement.
Liverpool is prepared to make another offer.
Newcastle’s decision-makers swiftly rejected Liverpool’s initial bid, but it seems there is no turning back for the former Real Sociedad forward.
He is essentially on strike, having not participated in the season opener last weekend, and is intent on securing a transfer to the Premier League champions.
“Liverpool is set to make another bid for Isak,” states Romano.
Fabrizio Romano suggests that Newcastle may soon acquire a replacement for Isak.
The Premier League champions are anticipated to return with a second offer for their primary target.
Liverpool’s chances of signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak have received a significant boost.
The Premier League champions had an initial bid of £110 million turned down by Newcastle earlier this month, and the Sweden international has since been excluded from the first-team squad.
Nonetheless, Isak continues to be a transfer target for Liverpool, and Arne Slot emphasizes the necessity of adding another attacker before the summer transfer window closes, following the departures of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.
Ahead of the Reds’ 4-2 victory over Bournemouth, Slot remarked: “I primarily view Hugo as a number nine who can also operate from the left or play alongside another number nine.”
“It is evident that with Darwin and Luis Diaz gone, and considering last season, we had five or six options. I must also mention Diogo.
“Therefore, we need at least one more attacker.”
While Liverpool’s second bid for Isak has yet to be presented, it is expected before September 1. Newcastle’s position regarding a potential transfer has been clarified.
According to Craig Hope from the Daily Mail, the Magpies will only consider parting with their star player if two forwards are brought in at St James’ Park.
Currently, Newcastle is aiming to finalize a deal for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
However, the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on a fee, as Newcastle is unwilling to meet the Bees’ valuation of Wissa, which has now risen to £60m from an initial estimate of around £50m.
In the meantime, the Athletic has reported that Eddie Howe’s team has shown strong interest in Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
It is believed that the 25-year-old is one of a select few forwards being evaluated to enhance Newcastle’s attacking options, although discussions regarding a deal are not further along than other possibilities.
Additionally, the report indicates that conversations have already occurred through intermediaries, and the Norway international is interested in a transfer to Newcastle, though he is not pressuring to leave Wolves.
In light of reports suggesting that Newcastle values Isak at £150m, Liverpool has generated funds from the sales of Nunez, Diaz, and Ben Doak in recent weeks, bringing them closer to that valuation.
Newcastle is anticipating a “green light” for Wissa.
The repercussions of that deal could allow Isak to pursue his desired transfer to Anfield. Naturally, Newcastle will also need to search for a new No. 9.
“Clearly, Newcastle requires a replacement – possibly even two strikers,” the Italian transfer expert shared with his YouTube followers.
“We are aware of the situation regarding Yoane Wissa at Brentford: they are still preventing his transfer, but Newcastle remains optimistic that they will receive the green light.
