Liverpool has submitted a ‘second offer’ for Alexander Isak, with reports suggesting that the Newcastle star ‘will be leaving’ – according to sources.

 

 

 

Liverpool has put forth a second, enhanced bid for Alexander Isak, as stated by a presenter who also noted that Real Madrid is expressing interest in the Newcastle United forward, while Eddie Howe has made his stance on the matter quite clear.

TEAMtalk has learned that Liverpool is prepared to make a second bid, but the Premier League champions are waiting for Newcastle to secure a replacement for Isak first.

 

 

 

Bein SPORTS anchor Richard Keys has disclosed that a source informed him that Liverpool has made a second offer of £140 million (€162m, $190m) for Isak.

 

 

 

The presenter also mentioned that Spanish and European powerhouses Madrid have shown interest in Isak, who netted 23 goals and provided six assists in 34 Premier League matches for Newcastle last season.

 

 

 

Keys reported on beIN SPORTS on August 15: “I learned today that Liverpool has submitted a bid of £110m. A subsequent offer of £80m is on the table now, with £60m proposed for next season.

 

 

 

“Choose what you prefer. However, I’ve also heard that Real Madrid could be interested.

 

 

 

“I find it hard to believe he would have taken such a risk without being quite sure he would leave before the transfer window closes.”

Isak did not participate in Newcastle’s first Premier League match of the season against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.

 

 

 

Newcastle supporters labeled Isak as “greedy” at the conclusion of the match, which ended in a scoreless draw, but Howe has indicated that the striker may rejoin the squad.
