Milos Kerkez’s move to Liverpool is reportedly complete, with his medical scheduled for next week.

Liverpool could finally be in a position to act in a key defensive position, as a Premier League rival wraps up their transfer plans.
Sky Sports News reporter Mark McAdam has revealed that Bournemouth’s capture of Adrien Truffert is “expected to open the door” for Milos Kerkez to move to Liverpool. The Reds have reportedly been in discussions with Bournemouth over the 21-year-old left-back in recent weeks.
Kerkez, who made 41 appearances across all competitions last season and plays alongside Dominik Szoboszlai for Hungary, is being considered as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.
Now that Truffert’s £14.4 million switch from Rennes is complete, the path appears to be clear.
“Truffert’s arrival at Bournemouth is expected to clear the way for Kerkez to join Liverpool,” McAdam stated.
“Although Liverpool haven’t submitted a formal bid yet, Sky Sports News understands Bournemouth see Truffert as Kerkez’s successor.”
The Hungarian defender has three years left on his current contract and is reportedly valued at around £45 million.
Kerkez’s Signing Could Trigger Changes Within Liverpool’s Squad
Kerkez’s potential arrival might impact more than just Liverpool’s starting lineup.
Rumors have grown around Andy Robertson being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, with questions arising about his willingness to accept a backup role at this stage in his career.
Since joining in 2017, Robertson has been a reliable figure for Liverpool, but at 31, he may be reluctant to take a step back.
Meanwhile, Kostas Tsimikas has proven comfortable in a supporting role, and a reshuffle could see the Greek defender stay while Robertson departs — a move that would likely stir debate.
Robertson’s leadership and presence in the dressing room have been vital over the years, and replacing that influence might be more challenging than anything Kerkez can offer on the pitch — even if the Bournemouth full-back seems like a perfect modern-day successor with his pace and energy.
Kerkez and his family’s recent social media hints suggest he’s all but set to wear the Liverpool shirt next season.
If the transfer happens, it could become one of the major talking points of the summer — not just for who Liverpool gains, but for the legacy they may be letting go.
