Liverpool NewsRodrygo offers fresh transfer update as Real Madrid stance clarified amid Liverpool links…

Rodrygo provides an update on his transfer status as Real Madrid clarifies its position amid interest from Liverpool.
The Premier League club is one of three reportedly keen on the Real Madrid winger, who has now addressed his future in Spain.
Reports suggest that Liverpool has been made aware of Rodrygo’s growing dissatisfaction at the Bernabeu during the 2024/25 season.
Despite making 50 appearances and being a regular starter with 38 starts across all competitions, Rodrygo’s role has changed significantly due to the arrival of high-profile players like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, prompting tactical adjustments from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti recently explained Rodrygo’s absence from two crucial matches, including El Clasico, attributing it to illness and injury.
However, rumors circulated that Rodrygo had decided not to wear the Real Madrid jersey again.
Shortly thereafter, The Guardian reported that Liverpool, along with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester City, was closely watching the situation, ready to act if tensions escalated as summer approaches.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also commented on the matter in his latest update for GiveMeSport, stating, ‘The Rodrygo situation is not resolved at this point. Therefore, despite the links, there are still steps and decisions to be made.’
In response to the speculation, Rodrygo has now chosen to clarify his position regarding Real Madrid.
He reassured his followers on Instagram amidst the rumors, saying, ‘Thanks for all the messages and concern.
I’ll be back soon [praying emoji],’ alongside a photo from a recovery chamber.
He concluded with a direct message: ‘Stop making stuff up,’ accompanied by a couple of face-palm emojis.
Reflecting on his past decisions, Rodrygo revealed that he had the chance to join Liverpool before moving to Spain in 2018.
‘We didn’t finalize the agreement because I chose not to,’ he stated last year, as reported by Goal.
‘I preferred to remain at Santos, despite the attractive offer.’ The young Brazilian talent elaborated on the promising future that awaited him: ‘The path they outlined would have been beneficial for my career.
I was set to complete my education in England to prepare for European football.’
Rodrygo articulated his aspirations: ‘Playing in Europe has always been my dream. Everything was appealing, but my passion for Santos prevailed.
I wanted to create a legacy at the club.’ He conveyed contentment with his decisions: ‘And that’s what transpired.
I achieved my dream of playing for Santos. However, it’s true that I nearly joined Liverpool.’
Should Rodrygo become available, it would be unwise not to consider a transfer.
He is an exceptional player with significant experience. While he may not come at a low cost, he undoubtedly possesses world-class talent.
