A few weeks ago, Kane was asked about the speculation that his contract contains an $87 million (£67 million) release clause for him to make a return to the Premier League at some point, where he could continue chasing Alan Shearer’s goals record. “What I can say is that I’m very happy at FC Bayern,” he said last month. “No comment on the clause.”

The Daily Mirror reports that Kane appears in “no rush” to leave the Bundesliga. He is still learning German as he gets used to playing in the country and has been in good form again this season, where he is closing in on winning the first trophy of his career.
