Cole Palmer has been linked with a sensational move to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals, according to stunning reports.

Palmer enjoyed a remarkable debut season at Chelsea following his £42.5 million transfer from Manchester City.

He scored an impressive 25 goals across all competitions last season, winning a slew of individual honours in the process, including the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.

But the England international has struggled for form recently as he undergoes what seems to be his first dip for the club.

Despite his slump in form, the 22-year-old has been linked with an outrageous switch to Liverpool.

That’s according to Simon Phillips, who also claims Man City have made an enquiry recently.

Liverpool and Man City, who sold the star forward in the summer of 2023, are both ‘sniffing around Palmer’ for the summer.

Arne Slot already boasts an array of stars in attack, with Mohamed Salah extending his stay at Anfield. They also have the likes of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.

As for Man City, they appear to be in the market for new recruits, with Kevin De Bruyne set to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.

A second Man City star could join De Bruyne in leaving the Etihad as a shock club has ‘held discussions’ over signing the Belgian midfielder.

Palmer, meanwhile, graduated from Man City’s youth academy before breaking into the first-team. But he was offloaded by the club, with the player joining Chelsea.

He has flourished at Stamford Bridge, but his form has slumped.

On his recent struggles, Enzo Maresca said: “It’s the first moment for Cole when he’s struggled in general. The only thing he has to do is to continue working hard, because for sure very soon he’s going to start scoring goals for us. They just told me that in his first 20 Premier League games, he scored, I think, 14 goals. So to score 14 goals in 20 games is a huge number, a fantastic number.

“Now it’s a moment for him where he’s struggled, but he has to continue because for sure he’s going to score goals very soon. For sure, a moment where you struggle is part of their career, their process, their season. Last year he had a fantastic season. This season we said many times that the way the team approaches him is in a different way. Most of the time he’s being marked man to man. That is more difficult for any player in the world.

“But even with that, he scored 14 goals in 20 games, the first 20 games. So for me it’s just a matter of a bad moment, and in the moment that he’s able to score a goal, it will probably change again.”
