Altay Bayindir, the 26-year-old Turkish international, was signed by Manchester United from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023 for £4.3 million, initially intended as a backup to Onana. However, his tenure at Old Trafford has been characterized by limited opportunities, with just a few appearances in cup competitions over the past two seasons. Bayindir’s lack of playing time has sparked rumors regarding his future, particularly as he looks to secure a starting role for Turkey at the 2026 World Cup.
