🏟️🏟️Real Madrid’s Champions League hopes have taken a hit as midfielder Jude Bellingham will miss the first leg of their last-16 tie due to suspension. The English international picked up a yellow card for a late challenge on Phil Foden during the recent match against Manchester City, leading to his ban after accumulating too many bookings.

The incident took place just before halftime, when Bellingham fouled Foden in midfield. Although the challenge wasn’t particularly dangerous, the referee deemed it worthy of a caution, ultimately ruling him out of the important upcoming match.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti voiced his frustration over recent refereeing decisions, stating, “We’ve been affected by questionable calls in three straight games, and we still don’t understand them.”

Bellingham’s absence presents a significant challenge for Real Madrid as they prepare to face either Atlético de Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in mid-March at the Santiago Bernabéu. As a key player in midfield, his suspension forces Ancelotti to find a tactical solution to maintain the team’s strength.

In their previous fixture, Real Madrid secured a 3-1 win over Manchester City, with Kylian Mbappé stealing the spotlight with a hat-trick, sealing a 6-3 aggregate victory. As Los Blancos push forward in the competition, Ancelotti must carefully adjust his lineup to keep their European title ambitions on track.
