Juventus puts their top player up for sale, while Hansi Flick pressures Laporta to bring him in

It seems Barcelona is preparing for a major summer transfer, with Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović emerging as a prominent target. Hansi Flick considers the Serbian as the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski due to his physical strength, scoring ability, and how well he would fit into Barcelona’s tactical system. However, financial limitations could complicate the deal, as Juventus is asking for €60-70 million. To facilitate the transfer, Barcelona may have to sell players like Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, or even Frenkie de Jong. The next few weeks will be crucial in determining if the club can complete the transfer.

Home February 17, 2025: Football news from England drops a bombshell with Real Madrid already pursuing the next Kroos.

Real Madrid has already begun their pursuit of Martín Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder widely regarded as the potential heir to Toni Kroos, to strengthen their midfield.

Zubimendi’s tactical intelligence, passing accuracy, and ability to control the pace of the game have made him one of Europe’s most highly sought-after midfielders.

Arsenal has been interested in Zubimendi for some time, with Mikel Arteta seeing him as the perfect partner for Declan Rice in the midfield.

However, Real Madrid is keen to act quickly and has accelerated discussions to stay ahead of the English club.

Zubimendi is under contract with Real Sociedad until 2027, with a €60 million release clause. While the San Sebastián club prefers to keep him, they are open to negotiations if a strong offer comes in.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid is willing to offer €45 million and may also include a player in the deal. One potential option is Gonzalo García, a forward from Castilla, who is highly regarded by Real Sociedad.

However, Madrid doesn’t want to fully part with Gonzalo, so they may seek to include a buyback clause or retain some control over his future.

In England, Zubimendi is often compared to Manchester City’s Rodri, with some even suggesting Zubimendi has greater potential. His vision and ball security have attracted the attention of top European clubs.

Madrid views Zubimendi as a long-term investment. With Kroos already retired and Modric possibly nearing the end of his career, Florentino Pérez is eager to add a player who can shape the club’s future.

Discussions are ongoing, and Madrid is working to finalize the deal before Arsenal can increase their bid. If everything goes according to plan, Zubimendi could become Real Madrid’s first signing for the 2025/26 season.
