footballIn England They Drop the Bombshell, Real Madrid Has Already Made a Move for the Next Kroos

Real Madrid has already started pursuing Martín Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder widely seen as the potential successor to Toni Kroos, to bolster their midfield.
Zubimendi’s tactical awareness, precision in passing, and ability to control the tempo of the game have made him one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe.
Arsenal has shown interest in Zubimendi for a while, with Mikel Arteta viewing him as the ideal addition to complement Declan Rice in their midfield.
However, Real Madrid is eager not to miss the opportunity and has fast-tracked talks to get ahead of the English club.
Zubimendi is contracted with Real Sociedad until 2027, with a 60 million euro release clause. While the San Sebastián club prefers to keep him, they are open to negotiations if an attractive offer comes in.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid is prepared to offer 45 million euros and potentially include a player in the deal. One possible name is Gonzalo García, a forward from Castilla, who is highly rated by Real Sociedad.
However, Madrid does not want to fully part ways with Gonzalo, so they may attempt to include a buyback clause or retain some control over his future.
In England, Zubimendi is often compared to Manchester City’s Rodri, with some even believing Zubimendi has greater potential. His vision and ball security have attracted the attention of several top European clubs.
Madrid views Zubimendi as a long-term investment. With Kroos already retired and Modric possibly nearing the end of his career, Florentino Pérez is keen on adding a player who can shape the club’s future.
Discussions are underway, and Madrid is working to finalize the deal before Arsenal can increase its offer. If everything proceeds as planned, Zubimendi could become Real Madrid’s first signing for the 2025/26 season.
