Pep Guardiola has identified Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen as his top choice to replace Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract is about to expire this summer. The 21-year-old German international has garnered widespread attention due to his impressive performances both in the Bundesliga and internationally.

Wirtz has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists in 34 appearances for Leverkusen. His exceptional performance at last summer’s European Championship, where he netted twice for Germany, has further enhanced his reputation.
