Liverpool
Amazing news has been confirmed for Liverpool after getting knocked out of the FA Cup.

And now there are three for Liverpool…
The Q-word, which had been a focal point in the lead-up to the 2021/22 season and started to emerge around this time last year in Jurgen Klopp’s final campaign, will not be mentioned for some time when discussing Arne Slot’s Reds, who were eliminated from the FA Cup on Sunday by Plymouth Argyle.
A lackluster display against the team at the bottom of the Championship has cost the Merseysiders one trophy, but there are still three more within their reach, one of which could be claimed in five weeks.
In a rare quirk of the fixture schedule, Liverpool will play five Premier League games in just 15 days this month – starting with the last-ever Goodison Park derby this Wednesday – after which they’ll only have four matches in the following 34 days.
Liverpool fixtures in March
Due to the FA Cup exit and the spring international break, Liverpool will play four matches in March, all of which will be squeezed into a 13-day window in the first half of the month:
4/5 March: Champions League round of 16 first leg away to either Brest, Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, or Benfica
8 March: Premier League at home to Southampton
11/12 March: Champions League round of 16 second leg at Anfield
16 March: Carabao Cup final against Newcastle at Wembley

With the first and last weekends of the month reserved for the next two rounds of the FA Cup, Liverpool will have almost a full week to prepare for their Champions League round of 16 first leg, and then will go 16 days without a match until the Merseyside derby on 2 April.
When Liverpool reconvenes after the international break, both they and Arsenal will have nine Premier League matches left in the season, and neither will have domestic cup commitments after mid-March.
Although the FA Cup exit was disappointing, it at least gives Liverpool a chance to recover
As soon as the final whistle blew at Home Park on Sunday, some LFC fans calmly noted that exiting one competition might offer a much-needed break after a hectic and intense February.
This could be seen as a small positive to take away from a disheartening result and poor performance, although we would have preferred a fifth-round tie to look forward to on the first weekend of March.
Nevertheless, Liverpool now has a much clearer picture of next month’s schedule, with a domestic trophy potentially within reach and a European one possibly drawing closer.
