**24 Hours Before the Clash Against Real Madrid, Savinho Reveals: “I Spoke with Bernardo (Silva)”**

**Manchester City vs Real Madrid**

24 hours before their Champions League first-leg clash, Savinho, Manchester City’s young Brazilian winger, revealed some major insights to the club’s official channel.

With the new Champions League format, top European clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and PSG struggled to avoid elimination in the group stages. Failing to directly qualify for the round of 16, they now face a play-off, which is like a round of 32. On Tuesday, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in a thrilling encounter at the Etihad Stadium. Real Madrid’s defense will be heavily tested due to key injuries, and they will aim to contain Savinho and his teammates, who remain a potent threat.

**Savinho’s Revelations**

One day before the match against Real Madrid, Savinho shared: “I spoke with Bernardo (Silva)…”

In this first-leg clash, French referee Clément Turpin will oversee a match that will showcase numerous talents. Among them is young Brazilian winger Savinho, who recently joined Manchester City. When asked by the club’s official channel about the upcoming match, Savinho stated that neither team should be playing in this play-off given their prestigious status.

“When we were drawn against Real Madrid, there was no escaping it. It was either Bayern or Madrid, both top teams, and we got Madrid,” Savinho explained. While he believes Manchester City could have managed their group stage better in this new Champions League edition, he expressed similar thoughts about Real Madrid’s situation.

“I think we, Manchester City, shouldn’t be in the play-offs. We should have qualified for the next round more convincingly and not found ourselves in a play-off against Real Madrid. And with their prestigious history, they also shouldn’t be in the play-offs. So we need to stay cautious about that,” Savinho continued.

**Savinho’s Understanding of Real’s Mentality**

24 hours before the game, Savinho revealed: “I spoke with Bernardo (Silva)…”

The 20-year-old Brazilian, who previously played for Girona in La Liga, shared his thoughts on how to beat Real Madrid. Aware of the mental strength of Carlo Ancelotti’s players, Savinho emphasized the importance of killing the game early by scoring goals.

“I’ve spoken to Bernardo (Silva) and even some Real Madrid players during national team duty, and they’ve told me that because of the strength of their badge, even if they’re down 2-0 or 3-0, they believe they can always come back in the final moments, like they did in that Champions League season,” Savinho said. He advised being clinical in front of goal: “We need to stay sharp and take our chances when we get them, as that’s crucial. It’s a lesson I learned at Girona…” he concluded.

The message is clear. Tuesday’s match is set to be exciting, given the current form of both teams. Struggling against top opponents this season, Manchester City, who are effectively out of the Premier League title race, will face a Madrid side that hasn’t had many major wins this year. With several defensive absences, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will need to patch things up to limit the damage at the Etihad before the return leg at the Bernabéu.
