Barcelona
FIFA has officially announced the dismissal of the officials and referees from the recent Barcelona vs. Sevilla match. This decision comes after the referee issue a red card following a dangerous tackl

Fermin Lopez’s brief yet influential appearance on the pitch during Barcelona’s 4-1 victory over Sevilla was defined by a dramatic series of events. After replacing Gavi in the second half, Fermin displayed his skill with a timely run and a crucial goal that shifted the momentum in Barcelona’s favor.
However, his time on the field was cut short when he was sent off after a controversial challenge. Initially, referee Hernandez Hernandez assessed the incident as a simple foul and handed out a yellow card. However, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team, led by Del Cerro Grande, intervened and recommended a review for potential serious foul play, prompting a second look at the incident.
The VAR discussion revealed a thorough analysis of the challenge, with Del Cerro Grande guiding Hernandez Hernandez through the details of the tackle. He pointed out the elevated leg position, the bending motion of the leg, and the speed with which Fermin approached the challenge, emphasizing that these factors combined to create a dangerous situation. The VAR team’s conclusion was clear: Fermin’s challenge was not only reckless but also posed a significant threat to the opposing player.
After reviewing the footage, Hernandez Hernandez agreed with the VAR team’s assessment, noting that Fermin’s tackle involved both legs in a scissor-like motion, showing a lack of body control and making it a dangerous play. Consequently, the yellow card was upgraded to a red, and Fermin was sent off, leaving Barcelona to finish the match with ten men.
