LIVERPOOLPlymouth defender drops x-rated comment live on ITV after knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup

ITV had to issue an apology for some strong language after Plymouth Argyle caused a major upset by eliminating Liverpool from the FA Cup on Sunday.

The team from Devon, who are currently at the bottom of the Championship, had already shocked Premier League side Brentford by defeating them away in the fourth round and took it a step further by defeating the top team in England and Europe at Home Park.

Ryan Hardie scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot early in the second half, following a handball by Harvey Elliott in the box.

The Pilgrims fought hard to secure the historic win, with new signing Nikola Katic rightly being named Man of the Match after a remarkable performance at the heart of the defense.

He made an incredible 17 clearances and even lost a tooth early in the game.

The center-back, who recently joined on loan from Zurich, was so elated after the victory that he let out a few expletives during an interview.

Speaking with Gabriel Clarke alongside goalkeeper Conor Hazard, he began by saying, “I f***ing love it.” ITV presenter Mark Pougatch had to apologize for the “industrial language” used, though he recognized that Katic’s reaction was understandable given the team’s achievement.

The former Rangers player has quickly become a fan favorite at Plymouth, with supporters appreciating his dominant performance and the passion he showed.

One fan on X wrote: “Nikola Katic was loaned to Plymouth in January, and he’s already helped them keep a clean sheet to beat Liverpool and tell the TV cameras he ‘f***ing loved it.’ What a man.”

Another commented: “Loved that Gabriel Clarke wasn’t interested in making apologies either!”

A third user remarked: “Nice to see the classic term ‘industrial language’ getting a mention.”

Although Plymouth are last in the Championship with only five wins this season, they rose to the occasion on Sunday and made history.
