Liverpool
Arne Slot’s men have a VERY favourable pathway to the final four Liverpool may have only just qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, but their stunning group-stage performance has meant they may already have one eye on the semi-finals after their possible opponents for the next two rounds were revealed.

Arne Slot’s team topped the 36-team standings, securing seven victories out of their first eight matches.
Not only has their strong start earned them the highest earnings from this season’s competition so far, but it has also ensured they avoid a play-off round, which will begin in the second week of February.
Although their round of 16 opponent is still unknown, supporters are already setting their sights on a place in the final four, as the Merseysiders might be poised for a remarkable run to the later stages of the tournament.
Liverpool Given Advantageous Knockout Stage Draw
Following the completion of the group phase on Wednesday night and the confirmation of the knockout stage bracket, Arne Slot’s side now knows they will face either Brest, Benfica, Monaco, or Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16.
On paper, a match against PSG seems the most challenging, given the French champions’ recent appearance in the final in 2020. However, facing Brest would pit the Anfield team against a club making its European debut.
The outlook also seems favorable for potential quarter-final matchups. If the Reds advance to the last eight, their possible opponents include Lille, Aston Villa, Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting Lisbon, or Club Brugge.
The Premier League leaders have already defeated the Ligue 1 side this season and would be confident in their chances against the other potential opponents.
It is only in the semi-finals that the six-time European champions could encounter some of the pre-tournament favorites, including Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, who might be waiting.
