Paul Pogba drops hint over next move, after confirming pep Gaurdiola’s talks
Manchester City may be preparing to make an unexpected move for Paul Pogba, with the former Manchester United player hinting at his next destination in football.
Guardiola’s midfield has faced scrutiny since Rodri’s ACL injury in September, especially with Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic struggling in the center. Although City has already made new signings this month, pursuing Manchester United’s record signing would be remarkable, even by their standards.
Pogba received a four-year doping ban in March 2024, which the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) later reduced to 18 months. However, in a club statement in November, Juventus confirmed they were ending his contract and would not reintegrate him into their squad once his ban expired.
Having been allowed to start training in January after his ban ended, the Frenchman is now focused on finding his next club. According to the Manchester Evening News last year, Pogba was interested in a move to the Premier League, with a CaughtOffside report now citing that he hopes to play in the Champions League with his next team.
